ELK GROVE, CA. – Beginning today and continuing through the end of the month, the Elk Grove Police Department will be conducting bait package operations as well as having officers in unmarked vehicles patrolling neighborhoods throughout the city. The officers in the unmarked vehicles will focus on suspicious activity occurring in and around neighborhoods related to package theft activity. ELK GROVE, CA – On November 7, 2019, at 6:04 p.m., officers responded to the area of Waterman Road and Sheldon Road regarding a male lying in the roadway that had been hit by a vehicle. ELK GROVE, CA – On August 19, 2019 at 5:14 p.m., The Elk Grove Police Department responded to a collision involving a freight train and an unidentified male adult bicyclist in the area of Bond Road, east of Elk Grove Florin Road. The bicyclist was riding eastbound Bond Road, on the north side of the roadway as the train was traveling northbound when the collision took place.
